Online Stores and eCommerce
Theatrium Design provides full service eCommerce solutions to clients wishing to open online storefronts. Whether you have a traditional brick and mortar store or are planning to sell strictly online, we can help you develop an online shopping cart to effectively sell your product safely and securely.
Software Solutions: Magento
Theatrium Web Design develops online stores and recommends using Magento Community Edition, which is the the leading Open Source e-commerce solution available under the GNU General Public License. Magento features a rich set of out-of-the-box online shopping cart functionality and secure transactions using SSL.
Clients using Magento online stores are able to log into their backend in an online administration area, allowing them to control most aspects of their online store including:
Magento provides all these features with the base software so clients can maintain their own storefront in an easy to use interface.. Because Magento is open source, there are hundreds of modules available to customize your shop with the additional selling features such as gift certificates, live chat support, image toolboxes and more.
Once your store is live, Theatrium can help you generate qualified traffic to your site through online pay-per-click ads through major search engines, such as Google and Yahoo. Additionally, we can set your store up for automatic product feeds to Google Base / Google Merchant product search feeds.
Hosted Solutions: Amazon.com
For hosted solutions, in which you pay a monthly fee for your eCommerce stores along with fees per transaction, Theatrium Design recommends considering Amazon.com hosted stores. While not as fully customizeable as the software solution packages, Amazon.com hosted webstores allow clients to get up and running with their store very quickly. Amazon.com allows clients to manage their own store and products, and offer many of the important upsell features such as coupons, gift wrapping, inventory tracking, and wholesale/retail pricing options. Additionally, Amazon stores are automatically included in the Google Base/ Google Merchant results, which offer speedy indexing on Google. Amazon.com storefronts are also available to add to the Amazon storefront, which would include your product in the Amazon.com site search results.
